St Johns County does not accept paper applications/résumés for employment. Please use our Online Application Service (OAS) to submit for a vacant position. There are two convenient kiosk’s located in the lobby of the department for the use of our customers when applying for vacant positions. Please take note of our location and office hours at the bottom of the page.

About Us
The Personnel Services Department supports, educates, and advises management by gathering facts, diagnosing problems, providing solutions and offering objective assistance and guidance on employee related issues. The role of the Personnel Services Department is to recruit qualified applicants who meet the needs of the departments filling staff positions. To retain qualified employees, the department strives to maintain competitive compensation and benefit programs for employees. The department also assists in the development, implementation, and coordination of policies and programs related to employment, employee and labor relations, compensation administration, benefits management, and training and education programs.

The Personnel Services Department is the official custodian of employee records. All records, except confidential records, are open for inspection in accordance with Florida Public Records law. Copies may be obtained, but all requests must be made in advance.
