The Growth Management Services Department contains many interrelated programs involved in the review and permitting of land development within St. Johns County. The Growth Management Services Department administers and interprets various County ordinances and regulations including the Comprehensive Plan, Land Development Code (LDC), Florida Building Code, and Ponte Vedra Zoning Ordinance.
The Department is organized into four major Divisions:

To manage the planning and land development permitting activities in St. Johns County ensuring suitable and appropriate growth and redevelopment opportunities while maintaining a desirable environment and quality of life for existing and future residents and businesses.
