Industrial Development Authority
One Vacancy
Purpose of Committee: Created for the purpose of financing and refinancing projects for the public purpose described and in the manner provided by Florida Industrial Development Financing Act to foster economic development within St. Johns County.
Qualifications:  Prefer representation from County Commission Districts 2 or 3. Must be a registered voter in St. Johns County. Members must file financial disclosure.
Meeting schedule: This Authority meets as needed on the 2nd Monday of every other month from 3-5pm in the BoCC Executive Board Conference Room, 500 San Sebastian View.
Application Submission Deadline: May 25, 2012.

North Coastal Corridor Overlay District Design Review Board
One Vacancy
Purpose of Committee: Enhance property development while maintaining and encouraging quality character of design within the North Coastal Overlay District and Vilano Beach Town Center with the intent of accomplishing the goals and objectives of the St. Johns County Comprehensive Plan.
Qualifications: Must be a registered voter in St. Johns County. Members shall be qualified through the demonstration of special interest, experience, or education in design, architecture or history of the North Coastal Overlay community of the area encompassing the North Coastal Corridor Overlay District. Prefer a registered architect or member having expertise in historic preservation and/or architectural history of Florida.
Meeting schedule: This Board meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 3-5pm in the South Ponte Vedra Civic Association Building.
Application Submission Deadline: June 1, 2012.

Adjustment & Appeals Board
Two Vacancies – One Alternate Position
Purpose of Committee: To hear requests for code interpretation and cases for Unsafe Building Abatement Codes.
Qualifications:  Seeking appointees with knowledge and/or experience in technical codes fields and those of the general public. Must be a registered voter in St. Johns County.  Regular members serve a term of two years and alternates serve a term of one year.  Members must file financial disclosure.
Meeting schedule: This Board meets on call as needed in Conference Room 1A/1B of the County Permit Center, 4040 Lewis Speedway.

Ponte Vedra Zoning & Adjustment Board
Three Vacancies
Purpose of Committee: Regulate and restrict the height and size of buildings; to regulate and restrict the intensity of land use; to regulate the area of yards, courts and other space about buildings, to classify, regulate and restrict the location of commerce and industries and the location of buildings designed for specified industrial, commercial, residential and other uses within the Ponte Vedra Zoning District.
Qualifications: Must be a register voter in St Johns County and reside in the Ponte Vedra Zoning District.  Members must file financial disclosure.
Meeting schedule: This Board meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 3:00pm in the County Auditorium, 500 San Sebastian View.
Application Submission Deadline: June 15, 2012.

Housing Finance Authority
Two Vacancies
Purpose of Committee: Increase the supply of affordable housing opportunities through tax-exempt and taxable bonds and other available program resources.
Qualifications: Seeking members knowledgeable in the fields of commerce, labor and finance. Members must be a registered voter in St. Johns County. Members must file financial disclosure.
Meeting schedule: This Authority meets the 4th Thursday of each month at 3:00pm in the County Administration Building's St. Johns Conference Room, 500 San Sebastian View. Additional weekly meetings are noticed during the administration and implementation of the CWHIP grant.
Application Submission Deadline: June 15, 2012.

Tourist Development Council
One Vacancy
Purpose of Committee: Recommend funding of facilities, programs, or contracts which are primarily for the purpose of and related to the development, advancement, furtherance, improvement, or promotion of tourism.
Qualifications:  Seeking applicants who are owner/operator of motels, hotels, or other tourist accommodations subject to the bed tax or persons involved in tourist related businesses other than accommodations. Applicants must be registered voters in St. Johns County. Members will be required to file financial disclosure annually.
Meeting schedule: This Council meets the 3rd Monday of every month at 1:30pm in the County Auditorium, 500 San Sebastian Way.
