Contractor Licensing Applications & Guidelines
Lawful Operation
- Contractors must be licensed; before advertising, bidding or performing any work as required by Florida Statute 489 and St. Johns County Ordinance 2002-48.
- All State Certified Contractors must register to operate in St. Johns County.
License Types
Select the appropriate license class for more information.
- Class I – to construct buildings or operating systems
- Class II – to build or install major components
- Class III – for non-structural, specialty and finish trades
- Journeyman – to perform trades while employed by a Master
Reciprocity
