About St. Johns County Fire Rescue
St. Johns County Fire Rescue provides countywide public safety services to the citizens and visitors of the County.
The Department provides coverage to 608 square miles, excluding primary fire protection within the City of St. Augustine (EMS and automatic aid for structure fires is included).
The Department’s organizational structure is divided into functional sections with well-defined areas of responsibility. These sections are identified as: Operations, Logistics, Support Services, Training and Fire Prevention.
Each section is assigned a Section Chief, who is directly accountable to the Fire Rescue Chief. Section Chiefs are delegated the responsibility and authority to control their sections, allowing each to function in their respective area of expertise.
