Land Development Code

Staff has been developing possible amendments to the Land Development Code specifically in Article II, IV, VI and XII. The changes reflect a practical approach to streamlining regulations, reducing redundancy in County. An open house for public discussion was held November 16th. The changes go to a first hearing before the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) on December 20th, the Planning & Zoning Agency on January 5th, and a final BCC hearing is scheduled for January 17th. Electronic Game Promotions

[Posted 10/27/2011] St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners has adopted Ordinance 2011-37, regulating the operation of Adult Arcade Amusement Centers and Electronic Game Promotions.  To remain in operation, Ordinance 2011-37 requires all establishments currently operating Electronic Game Promotions as of December 31, 2010 to register with St. Johns County no later than December 2, 2011

Pending Applications Report

The Growth Management Department provides a monthly listing—now on the County website—of current projects that require public hearings before architectural and design review boards, planning and zoning agencies, and/or the County Commission. The report includes brief descriptions, application status, and a useful map of project locations. View the report.

Comprehensive Plan Update

Home Owner Associations with Architectural Review Authority Registration.

The Land Development Code was recently amended requiring homeowner associations with architectural review authority to register with the County. The requirements and procedures are outlined in Sec. 5.03.02.H beginning on page V-14. Your application including supporting documents should be submitted to the Growth Management Department attn:  Betty Sue Stepp, AICP, Project Liaison, by December 1, 2010.
